It took a little time (6 weeks) but I am seeing good growth from the bare roots that arrived. Some were sprouting already in the box- looked very fresh. I was impressed with how TN Nursery efficiently packed the roots and appreciate their reasonable shipping rates. One piece of advice I'd give to other fern planters: I marked where I planted the bare roots with a golf tee so I could keep track of where to water. (And also where to look for the growth). It helped a lot. Happy planting!
Too early to know how it goes, but the roots arrived well packaged and moist. Firm stalk with nice fibrous roots. Planted now, and can't wait to watch it grow!
I was expecting this mystery box to include 10 different perennial varieties, but instead I received four Wild Geraniums, three Bloodroots, and three Jack-in-the-Pulpits.
Had I known the box would only contain three different varieties, I would have preferred to order the specific perennials I wanted directly from the website. I chose the mystery box because I was excited by the idea of receiving a mix of 10 different plants and seeing what unique combination I would get.
That said, I'm happy with the quality of the plants. The roots look healthy, the order shipped within the expected time frame, and everything was packaged well in Ziploc bags with shredded paper that kept the roots slightly moist during transit. I'll be planting them soon, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they establish over the next few weeks.
