Caring Tips

How do I care for my Christmas Fern?

Each box contains detailed care instructions and information about your product. But here's the basics.

Care Tips

Christmas Ferns are low-maintenance and thrive in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Keep the dirt always moist but not waterlogged. They benefit from occasional applications of compost and should be kept free of debris to prevent disease. Prune dead fronds as necessary.

Light Requirements

Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides) thrives in low to moderate light exposure. It prefers shaded to partially shaded areas like woodland gardens or under-tree canopies. Direct sunlight should be evaded, as it can burn its delicate fronds.

Impressed with the quality

Plants were shipped on Monday, I received on Friday. All looked and felt like they were healthy. I ordered 5 ferns, got 6. I ordered 2 milkweeds, got 3. The extras **** appear to be sent due to a weakness of any of them. I planted them that day.
My only complaint is that it was 103 degrees when I planted them! (August in Texas)

Seem great; so far so good!

Because I’ve had them for only a few days, I’m waiting for them to grow. Based on the careful packing, though, I’m optimistic that all 15 plants will thrive beautifully.
