Vine spacing chart
| Spacing | Best for | Vines per 50 feet |
|---|---|---|
| 3 feet | Trellises, mailboxes and lampposts | 17 |

Want coverage faster? Plant a little closer. Vigorous growers like trumpet vine and Virginia creeper spread wide, so they can be planted farther apart.
Choosing vines
- Flowering vines: bring color to fences and arbors, and many attract hummingbirds.
- Evergreen vines: keep walls and fences green all year.
- Climbing vines: quickly cover trellises, pergolas and walls.
Plant vines about 12 inches from the base of a fence or wall and guide new shoots toward the support.
Every plant ships from TN Nursery, a family nursery growing in Tennessee since 1959.
