Grape Vines - Vitis Vinifera

Choose from the four mature varieties of Grape Vines we offer: Concord, Catawba, Fredonia, and Niagara. These vines are sold at fruit-bearing age, so no need to wait a long time for the vine to establish. These plants are an invaluable addition to any sunny location as they provide not only critical ecological value, but also an aesthetically enriching exotic intrigue.

Plant Details

Family: Vitaceae

Light Requirement: Full Sun

Water Needs: Moderate

Height: 10-20 ft.

Spread: 6-10 ft.

Growth Rate: Moderate

Bloom Time: Late Spring - Early Summer

Flower Color: Inconspicuous green and white, varied

Wildlife Value: Provides food and shelter with berries and foliage, attracts pollinators

It is absolutely crucial that these vines receive plenty of sun, which is at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight each day, to thrive. They also enjoy being spaced out when planting multiples, with at least 6 feet in between each plant. Since these will arrive 3-4 feet tall already, be sure to provide ample climbing support for the tendrils to grow and thrive on. The flowers of this vine, while subtle and small to use, are anything but crucial pollinators. And of course, the fruits this vine bears are edible for people and local critters. The large surface area of the leaves provides excellent shelter and is of interest to nesting birds.

Landscape Uses and Maintenance - Grape Vines

Grape Vines are grown most notably for the fruits they bear. Delicious and nutritious, it is an absolutely convenient delight to have these growing in your own yard. This vine requires regular pruning to control the shape and spread and also to help encourage regular fruit production. Because this plant requires ample space and aeration, pruning is also necessary for disease prevention and promoting access to full sunlight. Grow these vines up a trellis or arbor to provide easy support.

Noteworthy Characteristics

With a selection of four vines that arrive at fruit-bearing age, you will receive a plant that is mature and ready to go. Catawba grapes are vibrant red, Concord grapes are dark purple, Fredonia Grapes are purple to black, and Niagara grapes are light green. Whichever variety you choose, you won’t be disappointed by this treasured vining classic. Shop for Grape Vines online at TN Nursery.

I have purchased several times from TN nursery this season. I have been pleased with product ( healthy and large examples ) but, also with the care seen in the preparations for shipping to the plant and the attention to detail in packaging are clear

Concord Grape Vine

I am very impressed with the Concord Grape Vine I received today. The vine is in great shape. It is about 4ft tall, the stems are thick and sturdy, and the root system is extensive. I expect this vine to thrive. Thank you TN Nursery!

Wow!

I was surprised how healthy my grape vines came! Most nurseries stretch the truth about how tall the actual plant will be, but this grape vine was every bit of 4' with one probably over 4'. Each of them had established buds on them already too! Worth every penny!
