What We Ship

The Benefits of Bare Root Plants

Bare root plants are shipped without soil or pots, making them lightweight and easy to handle. They arrive dormant, ready to be planted and thrive as beautiful, healthy additions to your garden.

Cost-Effective

With no heavy pots or soil, you'll save 50-60% on shipping costs, and you can easily plant our plants yourself—no equipment needed, just a spade for digging small holes.

Hassle-Free

Bare root plants are hassle-free because they're lightweight, easy to handle, and require minimal packaging. They establish quickly, saving you time and effort in planting and maintenance.

Better Growth

Bareroot dormant plants are more hardy because they adapt better to new environments, with stronger root systems that establish quickly, leading to greater resilience and improved survival rates in various conditions.

Eco-Friendly

Bare root native plants are environmentally friendly because they promote biodiversity, require less water and maintenance, and support local ecosystems, making them a sustainable choice for eco-conscious gardening

Caring Tips

How do I care for my Partridge Berry?

Each box contains detailed care instructions and information about your product. But here's the basics.

Care Tips

Partridge Berry thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers acidic to neutral pH. Mulch to maintain dirt moisture and prevent weeds. Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging. It benefits from occasional pruning to maintain shape and encourage healthy growth.

Light Requirements

Partridge Berry (Mitchella repens) thrives in low to moderate light conditions. It prefers shaded or partially shaded areas, making it ideal for woodland gardens or beneath tree canopies. Direct sunlight can scorch its delicate leaves, so filtered light is best

I am so happy with my plants!!!! The vines arrived in great time and were very vibrant and alive. The other one I ordered is I think a bush it was all roots and they looked great I put them in a pot and keep it damp so fingers crossed it will sprout this coming year!! My vines are still doing great and im so happy I haven’t killed them yet my meter half jokes and says I have a black thumb lol.

I think they'll make it.

The Partridgeberry plants arrived yesterday, quite compressed from their trip. While they were limp and pressed flat, the leaves were still green so I planted them right away. It rained later in the evening and has been just above freezing since planting. I assume after a week or two, they'll probably perk up a bit. I'm looking forward to revived vigor. I received a couple more bundles than I ordered and am hoping they'll all flourish.
